Soft Yoke Tower

Soft Yoke Tower is mainly used for permanent mooring of floating structures in mild shallow sea. It is a reliable and cost-effective engineering solution.

The floating structure is moored to the tower via the so-called "Soft Yoke". The soft yoke within ballast water can provide restoring force and reduce the motion of the moored structure. The tower includes turntable and jacket. Hinge is used to connect soft yoke and turntable. Under the environmental loading, floating structure will drive soft yoke and turntable to weathervane freely around the tower.

Swivels are located in the turntable to transfer power, oil, gas and water via the cables and pipelines.
